In 2017, Jalawelo engaged with the Miracle Learning Centre Basic School to make their Christmas Fun Day a reality!
Asking for Help
Like many other such institutions in Jamaica, the school has struggled to make ends meet. Despite some parents being unable to pay school fees, the principal has decided to press through the challenges to serve the kids well. Still hoping to host their Christmas Fun Day, the principal did what all good principals do to make dreams come true for her children... She looked for help! We provided the food and transportation for their annual treat.

Fun Galore!
And what a treat it was! Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely! Children played non-stop on the rides and with the toys present. Later on, they enjoyed a hearty lunch, with some ice cream as a treat afterwards. Two of our program volunteers came to help the school staff on the day. Both volunteers loved playing with and getting to know each of the children. Their joy and excitement was absolutely contagious.
We were truly happy to make such a special day possible!
