Jason Whyte is currently the Quality Assurance and Corporate Compliance Specialist at Opportunity Industrialization Center of America (OIC of America), a national job readiness nonprofit organization that has over 40 affiliates in 22 states in the United States. His primary role at OIC of America is to work with affiliates to ensure that they meet the requirements of the federal grants and adhering to the policies and procedures.
He holds a Masters in Business Administration emphasis Economic Development from Eastern University, Pennsylvania, which he received in 2008. In 2006 he received his BS in Business Administration cum laude at Biola University, California.
While he was studying for his Masters at Eastern University, Mr. Whyte initiated and developed a disaster management and entrepreneurial center prototype to be used throughout the Caribbean. He spent three months in Andhra Pradesh India doing business development and capacity building at Olive Technology, and conducted a seminar at TENT India, where he trained local community leaders in community development.
Mr. Whyte served on a planning committee at the Sweet Union Baptist Church where he contributed to the development of a five year strategic plan for the revitalization of the Coral Park neighborhood in Philadelphia. His professional career preceding OICA included Direct Marketing Manager at Green Energy Barrier Inc., and Business Developer and Cofounder for Belief in Rectitude and Divinity LLC.
Mr. Whyte currently resides in Philadelphia, PA with his wife Andrea; he serves as a deacon at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church in Philadelphia.
