Computer Equipment for Planning

It is amazing to witness the high degree of order which exists at the Bois Content Primary School. Some communities with low resources make excuses.  Not so at Bois Content. A school in rural St. Catherine, it continued to use pit latrines up until 2015. But, although they maintain some relics of the past, the principal and staff do all they can to move the school forward in today’s modern Jamaican society.

School Principal, Ms Jones, is delighted to receive the new computer equipment.

A Much-Needed Upgrade

To do so, the school’s administrative staff asked for some computer equipment in order to do their work more effectively. Blown away by their positive and committed attitude in the face of such limiting circumstances, Jalawelo was inspired to help meet their needs. You allowed us to buy and donate a well-needed desktop computer, laser printer and office software. As a bonus, our team also provided training to the staff on the new computer and on software to manage the school’s activities.

Helping Others Help Themselves

We should all help people who are willing to take responsibility for their own growth and development – such as those at Bois Content Primary. Their commitment to their students is what led them no only to ask for help, but also to work hard to learn about the technology. We are grateful for the help we received from our Jamaican sisters and brothers with the donation.  Faithful Jamaicans are amazing people!
